Northern Marine are currently seeking experienced Oil Tanker Deck Officer candidates who may be interested in a move to the Offshore Sector, working in the North Sea.

Are you:

  • Experienced working on Oil Tankers? (Minimum of 2 years Oil tanker Deck Officer experience required). 
  • Certified as a Ship's Deck Officer with Oil Cargo Endorsement?
  • Interested in working 3 week rotations?
  • Interested in developing your career towards working in the offshore sector?

If you fit the above criteria, the role of Marine Control Room Operator (CRO) may be an exciting opportunity for you. 

The Marine CRO will be responsible for the overall monitoring of the heading and stability of the Floating Stability Unit (FSU) in order to ensure safe operations and vessel integrity can be maintained at all times, even under extreme conditions. This will involve loading, storage and ballasting operations in accordance with pre-arranged plans and safe operating practices; recognizing anomalies and performing corrective action as necessary; carrying out planned maintenance on all utility systems; data logging and reporting; conducting inspections and any other relevant tasks. 

Minimum training for the Offshore industry (MIST and BOSIET) would be required to be undertaken prior to mobilisation.
