Northern Marine Manning Services are looking to recruit an immediately available Instrument Technicians for one of our client's offshore platforms.
Rotation - 2 weeks on 3 weeks off
A competitive salary is also offered.
Activity
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on various instruments
- Complete a loop test from a transmitter/valve, SOV, limit switch, etc. to input/output of PCS/SSS.
- Calibrate a valve positioner.
- Gauges & transmitters (pressure, level, temperature, and flow): be able to install, remove, calibrate, and test the most common types of devices.
- F&G detection: check, calibrate, and test the most common type of Fire & Gas detectors (be able to ensure inhibits are in place).
Profile requirements
- Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent in electrical discipline
- 1 to 10 years experience in O&G or industrial industries (1 to 5 for tech, 5 to 10 for skilled tech)
- Have a basic understanding of facilities/process (from well to export). Be knowledgeable of hydrocarbons behaviour and associated risks (explosion, asphyxia…).
