Hospital Infrastructure Engineer - Hospital Ship - November 2026

On behalf of our client, Northern Marine Manning Services are currently looking for an Hospital Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients' hospital vessel in November 2026 for three months. 

The Hospital Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of the hospital, mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure onboard the ships

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Carry out and document regular maintenance on designated equipment as per planned maintenance system
  • Manage spare parts and supplies, ensuring adequate onboard levels, pre-planning overhauls and ordering parts required
  • Support annual maintenance work requests and enhancements requested by the Hospital Engineer and through the ship space modification process
  • Support and coordinate vendor/contractors’ conduction of annual or repair services
  • Collaborate with the Hotel & Electrical teams, as hospital system functions are dependent on equipment supported by these groups
  • Collaborate with Hospital Management, Biomedical and other hospital areas for coordination of maintenance
  • Support training of the Hotel team on hospital infrastructure support

Experience Required:

At least twelve sea time months working as 2nd Engineer is preferred.

Certs Required:

  • Passport
  • ENG 1/ILO Medical
  • Seamans/Discharge book
  • STCW Certificate of Competency (COC) Chief Engineer or Second Engineer
  • STCW Basic Safety Training
  • STCW Security Awareness
  • STCW Advanced MN Fire Fighting
  • STCW Security with Designated Duties
  • STCW Medical First Aid 
  • STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (other than Fast Rescue Boats)
  • Full Vaccinations to be undertaken - Hep A, B, Diphtheria, MMR, Tetanus, Typhoid, Covid, Yellow Fever
