Northern Marine Manning Services are currently looking to recruit a 3rd Engineer to join our client's Hospital Ship on the 30th August for 3 months.
Experience Required:
You must have at least 6 months at sea in a similar role on a large cruise / passenger ship.
Responsibilities:
• Perform all duties and maintenance routines for auxiliary engines/diesel generators
• Carry out all duties and maintenance routines as per Company instructions, with the oversight of the Chief and/or Second Engineer
• Carry out operation and required maintenance of pumps & related systems/equipment & auxiliary equipment
• Stock control of the spare parts for pumps & related systems/equipment & auxiliary equipment
• Carry out all lawful orders given by Chief Engineer and Second Engineer
• Ensure the safe operation of all machinery
• Ensure the safe and efficient performance of all personnel assigned to his supervision
• Maintain relevant knowledge of ship's emergency procedures, including specific knowledge of the working condition of fixed emergency response systems
• Understand the Company Safety Management System as it applies to the responsibilities of this position
• Report immediately to the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer whenever anything unforeseen happens

• STCW VI/1 Basic Training
• Seamans Medical Certificate
• STCW V/2-1 Crowd Management
• STCW VI/6-1 Security Awareness
• STCW Advanced MN Fire Fighting A-VI/3
• STCW Crisis Management and Human Behaviour A-V/2
• STCW Crowd Management A-V/2(7) & Passenger Safety A-V/2 (6)
• STCW Medical First Aid A-VI/4-1
• STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats A-VI/2-1 (other than Fast Rescue Boats
• Seafarer’s Book
• Passport
Successful candidates must also be compliant with the vessel's mandatory vaccination requirements prior to joining.
